Mirpur pitch is not at all a good T20 pitch and also they BD should train their umpires properly before forcing them to stand international matches...
No other team has the guts to bat second on these pitches in mirapur than India. If Pakistan won the toss, they would definitely bat first. Look at the other results on this Asiacup and them comment like toss and bowl first decisions.
PakvsIndia always a pleasure! Congrats India on the win
SAMINCOLUMBIA, check your stats. what you said is completely incorrect. You could say "nowadays, india normally win". that would be correct
@S: Who says Rohit & Rahane are self proclaimed best opening pair? You must be out of your mind. Even if you had mentioned Rohit & Shikar, would have made a bit sense, even though it is not true. Rahane is not even considered a good T20 player for your information. But beyond all this, not to undermine Amir's efforts, he definitely bowled well and is definitely a good bowler. Will be more interesting to see how Amir performs on tracks that don't help pacers.
I don't know if anyone noticed, Dean Jones was a little biased. He wanted Pak to take more of IND wickets and put pressure. In my opinion, commentators must be neutral and just discuss what is happening rather than show bias.
Dismissing the self proclaimed best opening pair for DUCKS is not impressive? Even in his first over. Amir is no doubt in the top 2-3 bowlers now.
We shall return (to prove it all wrong). Green Shirts (the demolition squad) will bounce back.
It is a bowler friendly pitch. Said that, Pakistan has always produced some world class bowlers and the balling attack of Pakistan has always been better than India. The contest is always between bowlers vs Indian batsmen. Indian balling department never had the type of bowlers of Pakistan and Pakistani batting department never had the caliber of Indian batsmen. However, the pitches were below par for a tournament of this standard. Low scores could have been avoided if only the pitch payed it fair for both batsman and bowler. While saying so, the pitch remains the same in this short version of the game and the Indian team improvised it better due to better batsman-ship.
The Pak runouts would have done Inzi and Mizbah proud.
