Western Australia carried on their Matador Cup-winning form and confidence to roll Tasmania for 215 on the first day of their Sheffield Shield opener at the WACA Ground.
The Tigers' captain George Bailey won the toss and chose to bat, but Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Michael Hogan and Nathan Rimmington all excelled.
Bailey has stood down from international Twenty20 duty to make a case for a Test match recall, but he could manage only 15 against Western Australia before Rimmington found a gap between bat and pad on his way to five wickets.
No Tigers batsman passed 50, and it took a ninth wicket stand of 61 between Xavier Doherty and Sam Rainbird to lift the visitors past 200.
Marcus Harris made a rapid start to the Warriors' pursuit, taking them to 20 without loss in six overs to the close of play.
