The BCB has arranged for offspinner Sohag Gazi, who has been banned from bowling in international cricket, to travel to Malaysia and work with former Bangladesh fielding coach Mohammad Salahuddin to remodel his bowling action. Salahuddin had helped spinner Abdur Razzak return to cricket three months after his action had been found suspect in 2008.
"We have arranged his accommodation in Malaysia till November 15 and if he is able to correct his action by this time he will return and if he wants to play the domestic league for his help he can play," Akram Khan, the BCB cricket operations chairman, said. "We have talked with Salahuddin and he informed us that he will work with Gazi personally as he is free till November 15.
"Earlier Salahuddin has worked with Abdur Razzak and he was 100% successful and we plan to work with him because there will be no language barrier with Sohag."
Akram added that the BCB was lending all support to Gazi so that he could make a quick comeback as he was an important player in the longer format.
Salahuddin, who is currently the coach of Kuala Lumpur National University, had approached Gazi immediately after his action was reported during the second ODI in the West Indies. Gazi was later banned from bowling after the assessment of his action revealed that all his deliveries breached the 15-degree limit.
