Rahat Ali has become the latest Pakistan player to be ruled out of the ongoing Bangladesh tour. Rahat has sustained a hamstring injury and will miss both Tests against the hosts.
Before this, injuries to Sohail Khan, Ehsan Adil, Yasir Shah and Sohaib Maqsood had forced them to be ruled of the ODI series which preceded the Tests.
However, Yasir, who was hit on his hand during the practice game against a BCB XI, has shown improvement and is available for selection for the first Test in Khulna starting April 28. A development that has persuaded the PCB not to call for back-up for the injured Rahat.
"They are no plans to send any replacement for Rahat to Bangladesh," chief selector Haroon Rasheed told PTI. "The good news is that legspinner, Yasir Shah who hurt his hand and had three stitches in his index finger has recovered well and is available for the first Test,"
